Project 2
I went to the library to sketch the perceptive of the interiors. There were also a lot of people and a lot of things happening. There were a lot of books, people doing there assignments and chatting with each other. It was getting uncomfortable for me so I just drew 2 sketches.
I came back from the library and sketched the corners of the drawing room.
These are the sketches of some of things in the drawing room. There are some body part of a sculptured person on the cabinet and some paints. There are also some clips, a toilet paper, some pencil cases, water bottles, pencils and other stationaries.
Classmates doing assignment with computer and chatting with each other.
I went to the drawing in my free time to check it out and there were people from the foundation course in there and there were no class going on. They also have bought they computers to do assignments and chatting.
The outside of the drawing room has some statues and artworks from the foundation course (Fig. 4.1). There are 6 sculpture and some wire sculptures outside of the drawing room but I took 3 of them (Fig. 4.2).
A picture of the back of the sculpture from the inside of the drawing room.
Some pictures of the classroom and my classmates doing assignments and working hard.
At first, I didn't have a composition in mind but after Ms Sherry's advice about shading and changing the angle of the window, it finally turned out the way I see the drawing room.
I printed the picture to try colouring it and putting some face feature in. In Fig. 7.3, I drew the faces of my classmates but not in detailed while in Fig. 7.4, I coloured it.
In the end, I like the shaded and coloured versions better.
The shaded version has the sketch effect and captures the moment while the coloured version has the liveness of the people in the drawing room. I like both as it has the image of the drawing room in my mind. Both serious yet fun at the same time, I left the faces out because they always changed, they can smile, cry, laugh, be angry or another emotion.
I drew the faces on the sculpture because it always will be the same, never changing and I hope that it won't be broken.

Week 11
I had 2 places in mind, it was the library or the drawing room.
I wanted to do the library because they got some interesting things happening around there. It can get quite loud sometimes even though it's the library.
For the drawing room, it also have some interesting things going around and I feel comfortable there. The space is quiet when I'm alone and it's relaxing.
