Exercise 7: Rhythm/ Movement/ Harmony

If I wanted to make this, I would have use newspaper for the lotuses and blue colour papers for the water. For the background I would have use magazines. The background is the sky and wind to create movement and the lines for the lotus is repetition.

I use the second sketch, which is a whale. I used colour papers, newspapers and magazines to make it. The species of the whale is a Blue Whale, so I use a newspaper with a blue coloured page. I made the water ripple is to show the whale's movement, I use colour papers and magazine by cutting with a cutter and the blue background is a colour paper.
I added the lines to create movement of the whale and repeatedly cut the paper the same style. I use the blue coloured part of the newspaper so that it harmonize with the blue background.

Week 11: Ms Sherry said that I got the movement of the whale nicely done and said that it is a nice fish.
