The mood of the setting was a happy story but some frustration for lack of communication.

The mood was a happy but awkward mood because the old lady can only speak in Cantonese while the boy can only speak in English. It was in an old folks home and the boy was interviewing them with his classmates.

I decided to design them with a mask as to represent that they can't speak yet feel a sense of happiness.

I went with the last sketch. I used the pen to trace the image of the silhouette of the figure and added colours and textures.

Week 11

After Mr Redzwan's advice, I came up with some ideas for the design. I drew a story board to get some ideas about the situation and composition.

I use a drawing software to draw the shapes first then place it in Illustrator to trace again.

I forgot that the instructions said that it has to be portrait and changed it.

FEEDBACK

Week 11: 

Mr Redzwan and Mr Hafiz said that it looks nice and Mr Redzwan suggest me put two person in one composition because the focus whole be the two character. 

Week 12:
Mr Hafiz said that there is a lot of space on the top. So, he suggest to make the old lady bigger to make a perceptive.
