INSTRUCTION

Exercises

Week 1
7/1/2020

Our first exercise is to make an infograph of either buttons or Lego bricks. I took the Lego bricks. I sorted them out from the colours from darkest to lightest.

Fig. 1.2: Arranged and sorted 2 (Top view)
Since the shapes were not visible enough, I also took the side view. Since our exercise require us to use 1 A4 paper to do it, I have to find way to make them fit in 1 paper.

After that I kept thinking of another way to arrange the Lego bricks and it was 3 pages.

After that, Mr Shamsul form us into groups and we were brief about our final project.

After Mr Shamsul's class, we continue with Ms Anis and Mr Kanan's class. We started with our group presentation in order from our group list.
Then we continue with our Exercise 1.

Week 2
14/1/2020

Ms Anis and Mr Khanan brief us about our second exercise which is about Pokemon. We have to make an infograph based on the L.A.T.C.H., which is Location, Alphabet, Time, Category, Hierarchy.
(insert sketch)
After a break, we continue class with Mr Shamsul. He was going to refresh our memory with Adobe AfterEffect. We started with a simple animation on moving shapes. We also learn on how to make a path with pen tool to make an object move to the direction we want. Then, Mr Shamsul asked us to make an object like a car, rocket or anything that we want and told us to animate on our own. My classmate Carol, whose laptop charger has a problem and could not use it shared a computer with me.
We first decided to do a slug but it was very simple for me, so we change it into a car instead. After that, we import the car into AE and started animating it. At first, we could not get it right but after some help with Mr Shamsul we now know were the problem was.
This is our animation of our crazy car.
After that, Mr Shamsul showed us how to make an animation of a pie chart.
The pie chart.

Exercise 2

Our next exercise is about Pokemon. We have to organize Pokemon based on L.A.T.C.H., which is location, alphabet, time, category, hierarchy.
Organize four Pokemons into a visual poster that combined and utilizes each of the LATCH principles

L.A.T.C.H:
Location: The place where the Pokemons are
Alphabet: The first letter of the type
Time: The weather (When to best catch the Pokemons)
Category: The type of Pokemon
Hierarchy: Their evolution

Fig. 6: Elements
These are the elements that I used, the images of Pokemons and icons. I found the images in a website called "Bulbapedia".

Fig. 7.1: Map of Region
I also found the region map with more description on a website called "IGN".

Fig. 7.2: Location of Pokemon
From Bulbapedia, I also found the location of the Pokemons.
Fig. 7.3: Weather
From the website "Polygon", I found when is the best time (weather) to catch them.

Fig. 7.4: Hiding Place
Finally, from "Bulbapedia", I noticed that all of the Pokemons that I chosen can be found in a grassy field.
Fig. 8.1: Grassy field 1 (Process 1)
So, I wanted to have a grassy plain.
Fig. 8.2: Grassy field 2 (Process 2)
Fig. 8.3: Circle 1 (Process 3)
Next, to show the Pokemons more clearly, I added a circle.
Fig. 8.4: Circle 2 (Process 4)
Then, place the images.
Fig. 9: First Attempt
At first, I wanted to draw a template and transfer the image into Illustrator but I realized that there would be no space for the Galarian Ponyta to have decription. So, I remove the circle on the middle and lines. I then reconstruct the lines and circle in Illustrator.
Fig. 10: Adding Description
I used Illustrator to add the descriptions in. The font is "Gill Sans".

REFLECTION

Experiences:
I was surprised that the information class was quite easy to understand the basics such as separating and categorizing items.

Observations:
I am not comfortable at presenting while people are watching and I was not able to elaborate my slides well.

Findings:
I found that there are many ways to present slides by watching my friends presenting and need to improve on presenting.
