My group consist of 4 people including me, our group leader is Christine and 2 other classmates from Semter 1.5, Which is Desy and Tabita.
Mr Shamsul put some papers that contains the topic numbers on the table and the group leaders have to pick one to determine our topic.
Number 1 is Men Vs Women, Number 2 is Electric, Number 3 is Water and Number 4 is Natural Disaster.
We got Number 3, which is Water. So, in our group we discuss about a title that we are interested in.

We had 5 ideas:
1. Conservation of water
2. The Power of Water
3. Elixir of life
4. What’s in the deep sea?
5. Drinks

We finally decided on drinks, which is Bubble Tea as it is trending.

Carol drew the character. We are going with a cute cartoonist style.

Week 2
17/1/2020

We presented our Moodboard  to the class and our only problem was the font for the body text, but it is fixed now. We found a found the same font with thinner width. The font was Rodger, because the font have rounded edge as we want our font to be bubbly, but the picture we showed was a bolder version of it. We plan to keep the font family but with different typeface.
After that, we develop the storyboard.

Week 4
28/1/2020

First Draft of Animatic:
We gave it to Mr Shamsul to review and he suggest us to arrange the pictures of the Bubble Milk Tea Brand and also have the statistics to be clear and also have less noise on the voice over.

31/1/2020

Final:
Our animatic was done in a hurry because we change the music and some scenes, which was the arrangement of Bubble Milk Tea Brand and the statistics. It was not I was hoping for the animatics to be un-sync and I have not change the voice over. We were not satisfy with the outcome, we'll be extra careful with the final video.

Before week 5 of the trip for Intercultural Design, we divided the parts and had planned out set time to done a set of parts before the deadline.
For the animation, we divided into 2 part, which was 1 minute and 10 seconds from 2 minutes 20 seconds based on the voice over to Christine and Tabita.
For the graphics, Carol is drawing the character, Boba and some background of the first half of the video while Desy the other half. So, it splits into 2 parts, which is part 1 to Christine (Animator) and Carol (Illustrator) and part 2 to Tabita (Animator) and Desy (Illustrator) another while do the audio.

Week 6
14/2/2020

Fig. 5: Part 1 (Screenshot of Illustrations)
After Christine and I came back from the trip, Carol had drawn all her part for Christine to animate.
I have yet to see Desy progress.
Since Christine and I came back from the trip, we postpone the animating so that we could further discuss our project for Intercultural Design with our respected groups.

Week 7
21/2/2020

Fig. 6: Screenshot of Whatsapp (Christine's Progression)
Christine had started the animation and we were still waiting Desy's responses. So, we waited patiently for her.
We also put a date for them to finish their part, which was the 25th of February and for me to edit the sound effects in. Luckily, I already have the sound effects ready for the animation, I just needed some time to put it together and before Christine and mine examination, which was for MPU (Bahasa Kebangsaan A) on the 28th February (Friday).

Week 8 - Week 9
25/2/2020 - 29/2/2020

Fig. 7: Screenshot of Whatsapp (Outcome of Part 2)
Tabita's part was done but I was not satisfy with some scenes because the scenes that she animated were not sync with the voice over as the voice over helps with keeping track with the time frame that we wanted and some scenes are missing for example the stage scene where Boba showed the statistics.
Before that I want explained the parts, I first ask her if she could make the animation faster based on the voice over to have it sync. However, she gave me an excuse that she was not available to do it and asked me to do it in her place, she also provided her part in Google Drive for us to edit the animation.
So, after that I took on the job of refining the animation.
Fig. 8: Shared Folder
To my surprise, the folder does not contain any of the necessary file to edit the animation.
Fig. 9: Missing links
After downloading the folder and the contents, some of the contents are not there.
So instead of using her folder, I re-did her part and downloaded the necessary file that I need to use with the help of Carol and Christine.
Fig. 10: Part 2's folder
As we were missing a scene, Carol drew the scene which was originally Desy's that she did not finished.
Fig. 11: Progression
I compiled everything in AE and started to make the animation.
Fig. 12.1: Pie Chart (Bubble Tea Consumption in Asia)
At first, I want to have a pie chart but after making it, I don't feel like it fits. So, I asked my group mates for a suggestion.
Fig. 12.2: Bar Chart (Bubble Tea Consumption in Asia)
After discussing, we decided to have a bar chart instead.
Fig. 13: Adding Sound Effects
When I had finished animating, I added in the sound effects along with the voice over.
Fig. 14: Combing
After exporting the audio, I use Adobe Premier Pro to combine all the videos and audio in.
Christine then added subtitles in YouTube and added an End Credit.

REFLECTION

Experiences:
I have never felt so disappointed and stress at a team members before. I tried to ask them for opinions and changes that they did not look at properly and did not understand what we were trying to do. It got me so stress that I had to take over what they did not finished while the others were very helpful.

Observations:
Looks can be deceiving. I have seen my team members discussing and doing projects in the computer lab but not the project that we have discussed before the week that we were going on a field trip.

Findings:
I did not asked or received any updates on the animations and illustrations for part 2. I should have asked for updates from them as I was going to go over it and add in sound effects and I should have been more firm about it.
