Exercises Session
Week 1 - Week 3
Before the semester start, I wasn't sure how the exercises would go as it was conducted online. On the online session, the exercises were easy and I was able to follow.
After a few days of exercises, I got the hang of the online stuff and was able to keep up with Mr Redzwan. The exercises helped a lot with my strokes and I improved as well.
Project 1
Week 4 - Week 7
At first, I had a hard time because I couldn't come up with an interesting vehicle design with the stuff that I have chosen but after looking at reference that Mr Redzwan gave, I had some inspiration. It was really helpful.
The reference I have from Ian McQue and Feng Zhu were really helpful for me to have an idea of the concept and seeing their concept art, I want to achieve to that level in a certain amount.
Project 2
Week 8 - Week 10
Sketch-up was a bit confusing at first because I haven't gotten used to the interface yet. After some time working on it, I got used to it.
The project was easy to understand and interesting because Sketch-up helped lighten a bit of the load because Sketch-up already have the models and it was already in 3D, so we can have the perspective easily.
Final Project
Week 11 - Week 14
After all the digital drawing of vehicles, the final project was making a physical object, a prop, which is a gun. It has been quite some time that I haven't made anything with physical materials. I think the final project would be interesting.
Designing the gun was easier because the gun model was already very detailed. It was just the sanding part that took most of the time. Having a hands-on project, I realize that I was getting rusty on using a brush but after some time I was able to adapt back. It was a fun doing the project, I gain some experiences making props now.
